Can I really import all my TextExpander or TypeIt4Me snippets?
Yes! TypeSnap imports your snippets, groups, and converts your macros (fill-ins, dates, clipboard, nested snippets) automatically from both TextExpander and TypeIt4Me. AppleScript and shell scripts are converted to plain text with a note.
What happens to my data?
Your snippets are stored locally on your Mac in standard JSON files. We have no servers, no accounts, no way to see your data. If you enable iCloud sync, that uses your iCloud storage.
Will you ever switch to a subscription?
No. We’ve committed to one-time pricing. If we ever change our business model, existing customers keep their version forever.
Do you offer team or business licenses?
Not currently. TypeSnap is designed for individuals. For team use, each person purchases their own license through the Mac App Store.
What macOS versions are supported?
TypeSnap requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or newer. It’s optimized for Apple Silicon but runs great on Intel Macs too.
